AGARICICOLA TAIWANENSIS

Class: Alpha Proteobacteria
Genus: Agaricicola
Species: Agaricicola taiwanensis
Description: Agaricicola taiwanensis,an alphaproteobacterium isolated from the edible mushroom Agaricus blazei.Cells are short rods (0.5µm wide and 0.8–1.0µm long) with polar flagella. Growth is visible after 24 h incubation on NA at30℃. Colonies on NA are shiny, beige-pigmented, circular with regular edges. Growth does also occur on TSA or R2Aagar. Growth occurs at 20–40℃(optimum, 30–35℃), but not at 15 or 42℃. Growth occurs at pH 6.0–9.0 (optimum,pH 7.0) and in the presence of 1–4 % NaCl (optimum, 2–3 %) in NB.
