BRADYRHIZOBIUM PAXLLAERI

Class: Alpha Proteobacteria
Genus: Bradyrhizobium
Species: Bradyrhizobium paxllaeri
Description: Bradyrhizobium paxllaeri, nitrogen-fixing rhizobial symbionts of Lima bean (Phaseolus lunatus L.) in Peru.Cells are Gram-stain-negative, non-spore-forming rods.Colonies on YEM agar medium are circular, convex, non-translucent and usually 1 mm in diameter after 7 days of incubation at 28℃. Most strains of the species show a strong alkali production in YEM agar. The generation time is 11–12 h in YEM broth at 28℃. The pH range for growth is pH 5.5–10, with optimal growth at pH 7.
