| Description: | Brevundimonas nasdae,isolated from the Russian space laboratory Mir.Grows well under aerobic conditions at 30℃ on BHI agar plates. Gram-negative, has short rod-shaped cells and produces creamy white, circular and smooth colonies. No growth at 4℃ or in media containing 4 % NaCl. Positive for oxidase and catalase activity and negative for reduction of nitrate and nitrite, production of phenylalanine deaminase, urease, indole and acylamidase, hydrolysis of DNA, starch and arginine, decarboxylation of lysine and acid from mannitol. |
