| Description: | Chelatococcus sambhunathii,a moderately thermophilic alphaproteobacterium isolated from hot spring sediment.Cells are rods that are 0.8–1.0µm wide and 2.3–2.7µmlong. Cells usually occur singly, and are motile by means of a single polarflagellum.Gram-negative. Catalase- and oxidase-positive. Able to grow at 20–50℃ and pH 6.0–8.5.Colonies on nutrient agar medium are round, mucoid and smooth. |
