DEVOSIA PACIFICA
| Class: | Alpha Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Devosia |
| Species: | Devosia pacifica |
| Description: | Devosia pacifica,Cells are aerobic, Gram-stain negative, motile rods, 1.0–2.0µm long and 0.5–0.7µm wide, and possess a lateralflagellum. Colonies on medium 702 are convex, shiny, white and circular with an entire margin after 3 days ofincubation at 28℃. Grows at pH 6.0–9.0 and 15–45℃(optimal growth at pH 6.5–7.0 and 25–30℃). Nitrate canbe reduced to nitrite. Aesculin, gelatin, Tween 40, Tween60 and urea can be hydrolysed, but casein, starch, Tween80, Tween 20 andL-tyrosine cannot. Arginine dihydrolaseandb-galactosidase activities are positive. Negative forDNA hydrolase, gluconate oxidation, glucose fermentationand indole production. |
