| Description: | Devosia riboflavina,Gram- negative, non-spore-forming rods that are 0.4 to 0.8 by 2.0 to 8.0 µm. Motile cells have several polar flagella. Colonies are circular with entire or slightly undulate margins and cream colored. Obligately aerobic. Oxidase, catalase, and urease positive. Riboflavin is oxidized to lumichrome. Organic nitrogenous substances, such as amino acids, are required for growth. |
