| Class: | Alpha Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Hyphomonas |
| Species: | Hyphomonas rosenbergii |
| Description: | Hyphomonas rosenbergii,The main body of the mother cell is prolate spheroid, approximately 1µm in diameter and has one prosthecum 0-2m wide1µm long. Buds are motileby a single fagellum. Synthesizes a capsule that surrounds the entire cell at all growth stages and apolar holdfast that is temporally synthesized. Gram-negative. Not acid-fast.
