| Description: | Jannaschia aquimarina,isolated from seawater.Cells are Gram-negative, non-motile and rod-, oval- or coccoid-shaped (0.5–0.7×0.5–4.0µm). Colonies on MA are greyish yellow, circular, convex, dry, firm and opaque,with a diameter,0.1 mm after 7 days at 30℃. Grows at15 and 37℃ (optimum 30℃), but not at 10 or 40℃, at pH 5.5 (optimum 7.0–8.0), but not at pH 5.0, and with 0–7.0 % (w/v) NaCl (optimum 2 %). |
