Description: Jannaschia cystaugens,Cells are Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, strictly aerobic and heterotrophic. Motile, irregular rods, 1.5–2.0µm long and 0.5–0.8µm wide. White inclusion bodies aresometimes observed. Oxidase-positive. Catalase-positive.Genomic DNA G+C content is 59.1–59.2 mol% (asdetermined by HPLC).
