| Description: | Maritalea myrionectae,colonies are circular, convex, creamy and approximately 1 mm in diameter. Cells are approximately 0.4–0.5 µmwide and 1.0–2.0µm long.Grows at 10–40℃(optimum, 30–35℃) and pH 6.3–9.8 (optimum, pH 7.2–8.0). Growthoccurs at sea salts concentrations of 1–10 % (w/v) (optimum,2–5 %). PHB and bacteriochlorophyll a are absent. |
