Description: Mesorhizobium amorphae,Gram-negative, aerobic, non-spore-forming rods with cell size of 0.47-1.68 x 0.41-0.65 µm, which produce acid on YMA and alkali in litmus milk. Colonies on solid media are circular, translucent and with a diameter of 1 mm after 7 d growth at 28 ℃. The generation times are from 6 to 13 h in YM broth. The maximum temperature for growth is below 37 ℃.
