| Class: | Alpha Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Mesorhizobium |
| Species: | Mesorhizobium gobiense |
| Description: | Mesorhizobium gobiense, isolated from wild legumes growing in desert soils of Xinjiang, China.Gram-negative, aerobic, non-spore-forming rods that are 0.3–0.6µm wide by 1–3µm long. Colonies on YMA medium are circular, convex, white, opaque and usually have a diameter of 1–2 mm after 5–7 days incubation at28℃. The optimum growth temperature is 25–30℃and growth can take place at 37℃. Growth is inhibited at10℃ or 60℃. The optimum pH for growth is 6–8 and growth can take place at pH 5–9. |
