METHYLOCYSTIS HIRSUTA

Class: Alpha Proteobacteria
Genus: Methylocystis
Species: Methylocystis hirsuta
Description: Methylocystis hirsuta,a novel methanotroph isolated from a groundwater aquifer.Cells are aerobic, Gram-negative, 0.3–0.6×0.7–1µm in size and occur singly or in clusters.
