| Class: | Alpha Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Methylopila |
| Species: | Methylopila capsulata |
| Description: | Methylopila capsulata,a novel non-pigmented aerobic facultatively methylotrophic bacterium.Colonies grown on nutrient agar or glucose-potato agar are round ; viscous, semitransparent, convex, even edged, 2 mm in diameter.
