| Class: | Alpha Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Methylopila |
| Species: | Methylopila musalis |
| Description: | Methylopila musalis,an aerobic, facultatively methylotrophic bacterium isolated from banana fruit.Cells are Gram-stain-negative, strictly aerobic, non-sporulating, short rods (0.6–0.7×1.5–2.0µm), with round ends, motile by means of one or five flagella.
