Description: Nitratireductor aquibiodomus,a novel α-proteobacterium from the marine denitrification system of the Montreal Biodome (Canada).Cells can reduce nitrate to nitrite, but not nitrite to nitrogen gas. NaCl is not required for growth, but 1 % NaCl stimulates growth.
