| Description: | Oceanicola pacificus, isolated from a deep-sea pyrene-degrading consortium.Cells are non-motile, short rods, 1.0–1.2µm long and 0.6–0.7µm wide. Positive for catalase and weakly positive foroxidase, but negative for the Gram reaction, lipase (Tween80), indole production, urease, gelatinase,b-glucosidase,b-galactosidase, arginine dihydrolase and denitrification. |
