| Description: | Parvibaculum indicum,isolated from deep-sea water.Cells are Gram-reaction-negative, rod-shaped, 0.4–0.5µm wide and 1.3–1.5µm long and motile by means of a polar flagellum. Positive for catalase activity but negative for oxidase activity. Colonies are smooth, white to non-pigmented, slightly raised in the centre and have regular edges that are 1–2 mm in diameter when grown on 216L marine agar for 72 h at 28℃. |
