| Description: | Cells are oval to rod-shaped, 0.8×2–3micromrter, non-motile and divide by binary fission. Photosynthetically grown cultures are green. Bacteriochlorophyll a and neurosporene are the photosynthetic pigments. Optimum growth occurs at30℃ (range, 25–35℃). |
