ROSEOVARIUS AQUIMARINUS

Class: Alpha Proteobacteria
Genus: Roseovarius
Species: Roseovarius aquimarinus
Description: Roseovarius aquimarinus,a slightly halophilic bacterium isolated from seawater.A Gram-stain-negative, non-spore-forming, rod-shaped, motile, facultatively anaerobic bacterium, designated CAU 1059T, was isolated from a seawater sample from Jeju Island, Republic of Korea. The bacterium grew optimally at 37 °C, at pH 7.0 and in the presence of 2 % (w/v) NaCl.
