Description: Salinarimonas rosea,a new member of the α-2 subgroup of the Proteobacteria.Cells are halotolerant, motile by means of a single polar flagellum and approximately 0.4–1.0µm wide by 1.20–1.45µm long. Growth occurs at 15–37℃ (optimum, 28–30℃), at pH 6.0–9.0 (optimum, pH 7.0–8.0) and in NaCl concentrations of 0–5 % (w/v) (optimum, 3 %).
