Description: Achromobacter marplatensis is a Gram-negative bacterium from the genus Achromobacter which was isolated from a pentachlorophenol-contaminated soil in Mar del Plata by Murialdo. Motile, small rod-shaped, Gram-negative bacterium, 0.5-1 ”m long, able to grow at 15–40℃. Unable to grow at 6.5 % NaCl. Asaccharolytic. Resistant to kanamycin andsensitive to amoxicillin, ampicillin and carbenicillin.
