| Description: | Bordetella petrii is a bacterium of the genus Bordetella isolated from different habitats, including humans. B. petrii has the ability to grow under aerobic conditions and adapt to different environmental conditions.Unlike other members of the genus, this organism is not known to be associated with humans or other warm-blooded animals. Bordetella petrii also differs from other Bordetella species in that it is a facultative anaerobe. |
