| Description: | Burkholderia glathei,Rods to oval cocci, 0.5–0.7 - 1.5 μm, motile by a polar flagellum. No diffusible pigments produced.Optimal growth temperature 30–37 ºC. Can grow at 40 ºC. Capable of growth in nitrogen-deficient media, but acetylene reduction by cells grown under those conditions is negative. Acid tolerant (pH 4.5). |
