Description: Burkholderia seminalis is a gram-negative, aerobic, non-spore-forming, bacterium from the genus of Burkholderia and the family of Burkholderiaceae which belongs to the Burkholderia cepacia complex.Cells are Gram-negative, aerobic, non-sporulating rods.Colonies are moist. Known strains grow on MacConkeyagar. All known strains grow on BCSA, forming acids.Growth is observed at 30 and 37℃; growth at 42℃ is strain-dependent. Most strains are yellow-pigmented.
