| Class: | Beta Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Roseateles |
| Species: | Roseateles terrae |
| Description: | Roseateles terrae is a Gram-negative, aerobic, oxidase- and catalase-positive bacterium with a single polar flagelluma from the genus Roseateles, which was isolated from soil in Japan.Colonies are circular, 4–6 µm in diameter and convex, with an undulate transparent margin. Non-pigmented.Oxidase- and catalase-positive. Growth occurs in R2A medium at 10–37℃, but not at 4 or 45℃. Cells are rod-shaped (2µm in length and 0.5µm in width) with single polar flagella. |
