Description: The cells are gram negative, curved, comma-like, slender rods, 0.3 to 0.4 by 1.5 to 2.5 μm .They often occur in the shape of a helical or in chains with three to five spirals. No spherical forms have been observed in young cultures. Capsules are not produced.
