SULFURIMONAS AUTOTROPHICA

Class: Epsilon Proteobacteria
Genus: Sulfurimonas
Species: Sulfurimonas autotrophica
Description: Cells are Gram-negative short rods (1·5-2.5—0·5-1·0 µm) that are motile by means of a polar flagellum. Strictly aerobic, requiring less than 15% O 2 (i.e. 75% air saturation) in the headspace gas (optimum 5-8%). Forms white colonies on solid medium.
