ACINETOBACTER EQUI
| Class: | Gamma Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Acinetobacter |
| Species: | Acinetobacter equi |
| Description: | Cells are rods, 0.8μm wide and 1–1.5μm long, and stain Gram-negative. Aerobic, oxidase-negative and catalase-positive. Cells lack flagella. Pigments are not produced.Colonies appear red on CHROMagar Acinetobacter and grow up to 1–2 mm in diameter within 24 h at 37°C.
