ACINETOBACTER GUANGDONGENSIS

Class: Gamma Proteobacteria
Genus: Acinetobacter
Species: Acinetobacter guangdongensis
Description: Cells are Gram-stain-negative, strictly aerobic, non-spore-forming, catalase-positive, oxidase-negative and non-motile coccobacilli (0.7–0.9 x 0.9–1.3μm). Growth occurs on R2A agar, TSA, NA, LB agar and 2216E agar. Colonies on TSA are light yellow, circular, semitransparent, slightly convex and 1–2 mm in diameter after 48 h at 30°C. Growth occurs at 10–40°C (optimum, 28–30°C), pH 6.0–9.0 (optimum,pH 7.0) and 0–6 % NaCl (w/v) (optimum growth in theabsence of NaCl).
