ACINETOBACTER RADIORESISTENS
| Class: | Gamma Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Acinetobacter |
| Species: | Acinetobacter radioresistens |
| Description: | Cells are rods 0.6 to 0.7 by 0.8 to 1.0 μm.Pleomorphic.A plump form is 0.8 to 0.9 by 1.2 to 1.8 μm;elongate cells (15 μm or more long) occur in young cultures; and coccoid cells (0.6 to 0.9 μm in diameter) occur in old cultures. The cells occur singly or in pairs. Nonspore- forming, noncapsulated, nonmotile, non-acid fast, gram negative.
