| Description: | Gram-negative, nonmotile rod-shaped cells approximately 1 by 2 μm with rounded ends.Colonies on TSA are cream, shiny, smooth, round, raised,entire,and 2 mm in diameter after incubation for 2 days at 22°C. A diffusible brown, nonfluorescent pigment is produced. Cultures in peptone broth are uniformly turbid. Chemoorganotrophic; metabolism is fermentative. |
