Class: Gamma Proteobacteria
Genus: Aeromonas
Species: Aeromonas sanarellii
Description: Cells are straight, non-spore-forming, non-encapsulated,motile rods, 0.7μm wide and 2.5μm long. Gram-negative,oxidase- and catalase-positive, reduces nitrate to nitrite and resistant to vibriostatic agent O/129. Displays two colony types on TSA and blood agar.
