Description: Gram-negative, straight rods. Motile by a polar flagellum.No brown diffusible pigment is produced on TSA. Beta-hemolysis on 5% sheep blod agar is negative. Mesophilic. Optimum growth temperature 28-30 ºC. There is no growth at 42 ºC.

Source: Isolated from aquatic animals (fish, frog). A. sobria,has not been isolated from human clinical specimens.
