| Description: | Cells are straight, Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, non-encapsulated, motile rods, 0.8–1μm wide and 1.8–2.5μm long. Oxidase- and catalase-positive, reduces nitrate to nitrite and resistant to vibriostatic agent O/129. Colonies on TSA are 2–5 mm in diameter, opaque, circular and beige in colour after 48 h at 30°C. No brown diffusible pigment is produced on TSA. |
