| Description: | Cells are pleomorphic, curved rods, 0.5–0.7 x 1.2–1.5μm with 1–3 polar flagella. Growth occurs at 4–30°C (optimally at 25–28°C) at pH 6–10 (optimally at pH 10) and at a salinity of 1.8–4.8 % (optimally at 3.0 %). Catalase- and oxidase-positive. |
