Description: Short, regular rods, 0.5x1.5–1.7μm, with occasional filamentous forms. Colonies on chocolate agar incubated in air supplemented with 5–10 % extra CO2 are high-convex, granular, yellowish and opaque and reach a diameter of 1.0–1.5 mm within 24 h.
