| Description: | Gram-negative, straight rods, motile, presenting 3-12 flagella. No lateral flagella produced on solid media. No swarming on complex media.Growth in nutrient broth with: 1%, 2% and 3,5% NaCl NaCl. No growth in 0%, 6%, 8%, 10% or 12% NaCl medium. Growth temperature 15 ºC. No growth at 30-40ºC. Can grow at 4 ºC. Produce a characteristic yellow-orange pigment that is cell-associated. |
