Description: Gram-negative, short or elongated, non-spore-forming rods, motile by means of multiple polar flagella. Colonies are round, opaque, yellow (yellow-orange cell-associated pigment),non-swarming and non-luminescent.

Source: Isolated from Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar). Susceptible to 2,4-diamino-6,7-diisopropylpteridine ( O/129 vibriostatic agent). Sensitive to carbenicillin (100 μg) and novobiocin (5 μg)
Pathogenicity: Causes an ulcerative skin disease (“winter ulcer”) in Atlantic salmon
