| Description: | Cells are Gram-negative, non-motile rods with a length of 2 μm and a width of 0.5-1.0 μm. They occur typically as single cell. Growth occurs between 25 and 42°C with an optimum at 37°C. Halotolerant,requires NaCl for growth and withstand NaCl concentration up to 8 % but does not grow at 10 % NaCl. |
