ANAEROBIOSPIRILLUM SUCCINICIPRODUCENS
| Class: | Gamma Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Anerobiospirillum |
| Species: | Anaerobiospirillum succiniciproducens |
| Description: | Gram- negative helical rods, 0.6 to 0.8 μm wide and 3.0 to 8.0 μm long, with rounded ends; some cells reach 20 μm in length. The helix diameter is 0.9 to 1.1 μm and the wavelength is about 1.3 to 1.7 μm. A tuft of flagella is present on both ends of the cells, which show a corkscrew-like motility. Cells usually occur singly. Rod- shaped and circular forms are found most frequently in broth cultures. Endospores are not produced. |
