ARHODOMONAS RECENS
| Class: | Gamma Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Arhodomonas |
| Species: | Arhodomonas recens |
| Description: | A halophilic non pigmented rod-shaped (0.8–1.0 × 2.0–2.5 μm), gram-negative bacterium with a single polar flagellum. The strain grew in the media with 2 to 25% NaCl (optimum at 10–12%), 20–45°C (optimum at 37°C), and pH 5.5–8.5 (optimum 6.5–7.5). It was an aerobe or facultative anaerobe incapable of fermentation. |
