Description: Comprises oxidase-negative, catalase-positive, facultatively anaerobic, peritrichous, Gram-negative rods that are approximately 3μm x 1μm in size. Generally motile,reduce nitrate, utilize citrate, hydrolyse aesculin and arginine and test positive for L-ornithine decarboxylation.
