| Description: | Cells are Gram-negative, aerobic, non-spore-forming, non-motile rods.Colonies after 3 days on R2A agar are smooth,circular, convex and yellowish. Grows with 0–1.0 % (w/v) NaCl (optimum 0.5 %), at 15–37°C (optimum 30°C) and at pH 6.0–9.5 (optimum pH 7.0). Does not grow on trypticase soy agar, nutrient agar or MacConkey agar. |
