| Description: | Gram negative, 0.2-0.3/0.5-2.0 μm, pleomorphic rods,noncapsulated.Colonies on chocolate agar are smooth,convex, translucent, 1.0-2.0 mm. in diameter in 24 hours , with a small granular area on top.Hemolysis is negative.Aerobic, facultatively anaerobic, require X-factor but not V-factor for growth. CO2 is not required. Growth on Mac Conkey agar is negative. |
