Description: Gram negative coccobacilli or rods, filamentous forms, non-capsulated.Colonies on chocolate agar are smooth, convex, translucent, grayish, 0.5-1.5 mm in diameter after 24 hours. Beta-hemolysis, lost after subcultivation.Aerobic, facultatively anaerobic, require X-factor and V-factor for growth. CO2 is not required. Growth on Mac Conkey agar is negative.
