Description: Cells spirals or rods,0.9-1.2 x 4-6 μm,or longer.Motile by means of bipolar,sheathed flagella.Color of cell suspension is pale green,sometimes with a brownish tinge.Photosynthetic pigments are bacteriochlorophyll b and small amounts of carotenoids.
