LUTEIMONAS TERRAE
| Class: | Gamma Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Luteimonas |
| Species: | Luteimonas terrae |
| Description: | Cells are Gram-staining-negative rods, strictly aerobic,0.4–0.5 x 1.1–1.7 μm with a single polar flagellum. Catalase and oxidase activities are positive.Growth occurs at 4–45°C (optimum 25–30°C). Cells grow on TSA, NA, R2A, LA and MacConkey agar. Cells can grow in NB at pH 6.5–8.0 (optimum pH 7.0–7.5) and at 0–5.5 % NaCl. Colonies are smooth, circular, yellow in colour and 0.5–1.5 mm in diameter after 2 days of incubation on NA. |
