LYSOBACTER SEDIMINICOLA

Class: Gamma Proteobacteria
Genus: Lysobacter
Species: Lysobacter sediminicola
Description: Cells are Gram-reaction-negative, aerobic, non-motile,non-spore-forming and rod-shaped (0.4–0.6μm in diameter and 1.5–3.0μm in length). Colonies grown on R2A agar for 2 days are 0.5–2 mm in diameter, smooth, circular, convex, translucent and yellowish. Catalase- and oxidase-negative. The optimum growth temperature and pH are 30°C and pH 6.5–7.5 without additional NaCl supplement. Growth is inhibited in the presence of 0.5 % (w/v) NaCl.
