Description: Cells are Gram-negative, non-motile small rods and coccobacilli. Colonies are smooth and greyish on blood agar and are 1-2 mm in diameter after 24 h incubation. No strains were haemolytic on bovine blood agar, but they have been reported as haemolytic using ovine blood.
